Leaders must embrace opposing views to solve global crises, research shows
A new framework redefines inclusive leadership beyond the workplace to address planetary emergencies and geopolitical divisions. The approach requires organizations and nations to work collaboratively with opponents, balancing profit, people, and planet—with Earth's survival taking priority.
Originaltitel: Making inclusive leadership inclusive in societal and planetary contexts: inspiration from Yin Yang thinking

We have never needed inclusive leadership more than today, when Planet Earth faces unprecedented crises calling for inclusive cooperation globally, while geopolitical, political, economic, and societal polarization hinders global cooperation. This chapter expands the inclusive leadership discourse beyond organizational boundaries to transcend polarization and meet organizational, societal, and global challenges with inspiration from Yin Yang thinking. The chapter defines inclusive leadership as the vision, courage, and governance ability to embrace paradox by working with diverse organizations, cultures, and nations—including one's opponents—to meet challenges within and beyond organizational boundaries for the sustainable well-being of people, society, and Planet Earth. The chapter argues that the interests of organizations, societies, nations, and the planet must be reconciled and harmonized into a unified whole. Profit, people, and the planet need to be balanced, with planetary interests taking precedence.
