New genetic mutation linked to aggressive childhood leukemia could reshape treatment
Researchers identified a previously unknown genetic fusion involving CCDC88C and JAK2 genes in a pediatric leukemia case. The discovery could enable earlier diagnosis and guide development of targeted therapies for this rare but deadly blood cancer subtype.
