New toolkit standardizes how scientists measure tiny cell particles

Researchers have created the first comprehensive guide for using flow cytometry to analyze extracellular vesicles—tiny particles that cells release and that show promise as disease biomarkers. The standardization could accelerate development of diagnostic tests and therapeutics by giving labs a common measurement framework.
