Scientists use CRISPR to fine-tune genes inside living organisms

Researchers have demonstrated a new way to control gene expression by editing the 3' UTR—a regulatory region that acts like a dimmer switch for genes—directly in living animals. This approach could enable more precise treatments for genetic diseases and offer pharmaceutical companies a novel way to modulate disease-driving genes without permanently altering DNA.
