Surgeons can safely delay pancreatic tumor removal in many cases

A single-center study of pancreatic tumors found that removing precancerous lesions before they turn invasive doesn't improve long-term survival compared to waiting for signs of early invasion. The finding could shift surgical strategy and reduce unnecessary procedures for patients with a common type of pancreatic growth.
