Blood protein level predicts which breast cancer patients will survive radiotherapy

Researchers found that low levels of a protein called WRAP53 can predict whether breast cancer patients will benefit from radiation treatment and their risk of recurrence. The discovery, from a long-term Swedish trial, could help oncologists personalize treatment plans and identify patients needing alternative or additional therapies.
