Simple oxygen test could predict which children with pneumonia will die

Researchers in rural Bangladesh found that measuring oxygen levels in sick children can reliably identify those at highest risk of death from pneumonia. The finding could transform how clinicians in low-resource settings triage patients and allocate scarce hospital resources without expensive equipment.
